Midvale City's Community-Building-Community Initiative (CBC) began in 1998 to improve the general well being of Midvale residents. The CBC seeks to create solutions that both respond to the needs of the community and are implemented by the community.

The CBC consists of 6 committees and an Executive Board. Each committee consists of community members and service providers. Meetings are held in both Spanish and English and meet at various times each month.

Any person or organization interested in Midvale is encouraged to participate in CBC activities. The CBC partners with community members, public agencies, government agencies, private and non-profit agencies, and businesses. More than 160 individuals and organizations are involved with the CBC.

Mission Statement:
Guided by the diverse collection of Midvale City residents, we will create a community of networks and partnerships within Midvale City so that all residents will be empowered to access educational opportunities and services that will help them to achieve their maximum potential and eliminate poverty.

Message from the Mayor:
It takes a whole "village" to build a village that responds to the needs of each its members. Midvale is a community of people who care and give of themselves to make efforts they work to make Midvale a safe, healthy, productive community in which to live, work, and shop. They have made it possible for neighbors, neighborhoods, and government to respond to individual needs of the community.
